Award for Stories that Move

We are proud to announce that Stories that Move has won the 2018 Comenius EduMedia Medal for excellent teaching materials. This prestigious international award was presented by the Institute for Pedagogy and Media in Berlin on 21 June.

The judges said they were impressed by the way Stories that Move successfully used interactive and audio-visual media to let young Europeans think about prejudices, stereotyping, discrimination and online media, enabling teachers to address the issues and perhaps empowering the young to act. “The jury congratulates the developers of Stories that Move with their medal and hopes the project will continue to ‘move’ people to – as the Dutch singer Bram Vermeulen once wrote –‘move a stone in the river’.”

The international partners of Stories that Move would particularly like to thank all the young people and educators involved in developing this tool over the years. We could not have done it without their commitment to testing and providing feedback.
